Teachers Training at Vivekananda College, Puttur

On 23rd November, 2024, Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital held a specialized training program at Dr. Vivekananda PU College, Puttur, aimed at empowering teachers of high school and PU college students. The training program, organized to address critical aspects of adolescent well-being, was structured around helping teachers understand and manage the unique challenges faced by students. Key themes included stress management, understanding the teacher’s role as a counselor, and insights into adolescent issues. Through a series of interactive and engaging activities, teachers participated in role-play sessions, creative exercises, and workshops designed to provide practical, hands-on experience in dealing with students’ emotional and psychological needs. One of the highlights was the role-play sessions, where teachers practiced real-life scenarios, exploring techniques to build rapport and communicate effectively with students experiencing stress or other personal challenges. Additionally, creative sessions offered teachers tools to foster a supportive and empathetic classroom environment. Workshops, led by experts, provided actionable insights and methods for addressing common adolescent issues, including academic pressure, identity concerns, and interpersonal relationships. The program emphasized the importance of the teacher’s role beyond academic instruction, equipping them with essential skills for supporting students’ mental health and overall well-being. Through this initiative, Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital reaffirmed its commitment to community health, focusing on equipping educators to contribute to a healthier, more supportive educational environment for youth.
