Awareness Workshop on Drug Addiction and Mental Health at Rosa Mistika Teachers Training Institute, Gurupura Kaikamba.

Rosa Mistika Teachers Training Institute, Gurupura Kaikamba, in collaboration with Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, Arkula, Mangaluru, recently organized an awareness workshop on Drug Addiction and Mental Health, including Stress Management. The session proved to be very insightful and meaningful.

Dr. Survesh Kumar, Psychiatrist at Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, served as the resource person for the program. He highlighted how today’s youth are going astray due to drug addiction, explaining in detail how to detect its signs and ways to overcome it, sharing many real-life examples.

He also emphasized that awareness about mental health remains low in society and that many people continue to live under constant stress. Stress, if left unchecked, can harm one’s overall health, but he assured that there are effective ways to manage it and regain control of one’s wellbeing.

More than 75 participants attended the workshop, actively engaged with the resource person, and clarified their doubts through interactive discussions.
