World Mental Health Day Special Interactive Session Held at Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, Arkula

“ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮನಸ್ವಿನಿ”

On the occasion of World Mental Health Day, Dr. Thunga’s Manaswini Hospital, Arkula, organized a special interactive session titled ಮನಸ್ಸಿನ ಆರೋಗ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಮನಸ್ವಿನಿ” (Manaswini for Mental Health) featuring an enlightening conversation with renowned psychiatrist Dr. Ravisha Thunga Airody.

The event aimed to raise awareness about the significance of mental well-being in today’s fast-paced and stressful world. The interactive session witnessed active participation from Asha workers, Anganwadi teachers, high school students, teachers, principals, and college students, who engaged in meaningful dialogue with Dr. Thunga by asking thought-provoking questions on topics such as stress, emotional balance, and the mental health challenges faced by today’s youth.

Addressing the gathering at the Manaswini Hospital Amphitheatre, Dr. Ravisha Thunga emphasized the importance of early intervention, emotional support, and community participation in promoting mental health. He highlighted that understanding and compassion within families and communities can significantly reduce the stigma associated with mental illness.

The program successfully conveyed the theme of World Mental Health Day, reinforcing that mental health care is a shared responsibility. The session concluded with a collective message of hope, empathy, and awareness, inspiring participants to contribute toward building a mentally healthy community.
